Sullia, Jan 12: Miscreants targeted a banner announcing the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, displayed at Adkar near here. The incident took place in the night on January 10 and came to light on Thursday, January 11.

The banner, organized by Kartikeya Yuva Seva Samiti and positioned at the bend of the road leading to the Adkaru temple, was vandalized. The miscreants tore the middle portion of the banner, which featured a photograph of Sullia MLA along with committee members.

As of now, no formal case has been filed regarding this incident. Notably, a few days prior, a similar banner near the private bus stand of the city was torn. Investigation revealed that the act was committed by a mentally deranged individual. The incident was condemned through a protest led by the MP and MLA.
