Udupi: Vijaya Bank Celebrates ‘Hindi Day’ at Vidhyaniketan Group Auditorium

Udupi, Sep 15: P Anwar Basha, national language department officer of Vijaya Bank, city branch, inaugurated Hindi Day celebrations at Vidhyaniketan Group of education institutions auditorium, Kaup, on Wednesday September 14.  It was jointly organized by Vijaya Bank and Vidhyaniketan Group.
 
Speaking on the occasion, he said that regional languages are facing an onslaught of English.  Meanwhile, he urged the students to get rid of the feeling that they cannot survive without English.
 

K P Acharya, correspondent, Vidhyaniketan Group, in his presidential address said that state authorities should take a bold stand in making national language Hindi compulsory in the curriculum.
