Mumbai, Sep 15: While Bojpuri actor Ravi Kissen was away shooting for a movie, his 20-year-old maid Ruby Sahani, committed suicide by jumping from the 14th floor of his house recently.

At the time of the incident, his wife and children were at home.

Police officials at the Bangur Nagar police station said that the reason behind her act could have been depression. As per reports, Ruby, who hails from Mathura, has been working for the actor's family since the last two months.  It is learnt that shortly before her death she had locked herself in one of the bathrooms of the flat and jumped out from its window.

Also a police officer added that Kishan's family had told them that she had been looking depressed for many days.

Ruby's body has been sent for post-mortem to find out if she was under the influence of any substance.

However, on investigation, it has been revealed that Ruby had tried to flee from the actor's apartment many a times in the past. In fact, a day before her death, her attempt to run away was foiled by the security guards who caught her and handed her over to Kissen's family.

Also, police officials added that Ruby had absconded from the house on two occasions and was not traceable for a stretch of seven days. It is learnt that Ruby was short-tempered and often depressed owing to a failed marriage.

Matters seem to sound a bit more twisted as Ravi Kissen's laundry man by the name Diwakar revealed shocking information about the Bhojpuri star.

Diwakar said that Ravi had locked him in a room demanding to know about what happened to his clothes that happened to go missing. He was only set to go free after Diwakar's wife brought the police to Kissen's house to free her husband.
