Mumbai, Oct 29: Ayushmaan Sethi, younger son of actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, has got engaged to his girlfriend, Samiksha Shetty, during a vacation in Italy. The content creator and aspiring actor shared the special moment on his YouTube channel, offering viewers a glimpse into his romantic proposal.
Ayushmaan and Samiksha also announced their engagement on Instagram, sharing photographs from the memorable occasion. Expressing her happiness at finding her life partner, Samiksha penned an emotional note about their relationship and future together.
“Of all the places in the world, of all the lives we could’ve lived, somehow we found each other. And we’d choose each other every single time. Here’s to every lifetime together,” she wrote.
In his vlog, Ayushmaan revealed how he planned the proposal and prepared to ask Samiksha to marry him. Before travelling to Italy, he shared his plans with his parents, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, as well as his elder brother, Aaryamann Sethi. His family was delighted by the news and wished him luck.
Once in Italy, Ayushmaan began searching for the perfect location to propose. He had carried a ring and flowers for the occasion and wanted to capture the special moment on camera. However, as the big moment approached, nervousness got the better of him. He revealed that his hands were shaking while he set up a tripod to record the proposal.
When everything was ready, Ayushmaan asked Samiksha to turn around before getting down on one knee. He then spoke from the heart about how their relationship had changed his perspective on love and how he envisioned their future together.
“Sam, you make the impossible possible. I always thought that happily ever afters were not for me and that I would never find someone I love that I would spend the rest of my life with,” he told her.
He went on to recall how Samiksha had entered his life and changed it forever.
“I never thought that I could love someone so, so much. I thought true love was supposed to be like instantly falling in love with you and knowing that you are the one and feeling all butterflies but this wasn’t that. This was better because the more I got to know you the more I fell in love with you,” he said.
Samiksha was visibly emotional as Ayushmaan presented the ring and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and the couple embraced, spending a few moments together at the picturesque location as they celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
