34 MLAs get Cabinet rank posts to head boards, corporations

Bengaluru, Jan 26: Eight months after coming to power, the Congress government headed by Siddaramaiah has finally come out with the list of party MLAs to head 34 different State-level Boards and Corporations with Cabinet rank status and perks.

The Shantinagar MLA N A Harris has been made the Chairman of Bengaluru Development Authority while the Muddebihal MLA Appaji C S Nadagouda has been made Chairman of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd. The Gubbi MLA S R Srinivas has been appointed as Chairman of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation.

According to an official government order issued on Friday, all the 34 appointments shall come into effect immediately and will be valid for two years.

The details of the names of MLAs, their constituencies and the Boards/Corporations to which they are appointed is as follows:
