Failure in love turns actor Abhishek Singh into IAS officer

Mumbai, Jan 28: Renowned IAS officer Abhishek Singh resigned from his post in October 2023. When he was working as election viewer during Gujarat assembly elections, he shared the photo of the vehicle in which there was the board ‘Observer’ and shared it on social media. In February 2023, he was suspended from service. He resigned from his position in October 2023.

But the story of IAS officer Abhishek Singh is a thrilling one. He is an IAS officer of 2011 batch. He has worked in the entertainment industry also and acted in many movies. His role in the series ‘Delhi Crime’ that was telecast on Netflix was appreciated by many viewers. He has acted in a short movie ‘Chaar Pandrah’ also. He has also featured in the song ‘Dil Thod Ke’ of B Praak.

In an interview Abhishek disclosed that a girl whom he was passionately in love with during his college days, deceived him. He also thought of killing himself, apparently. However, he controlled himself and made preparations for UPSC examinations and scored a stunning AIR 94 in the 2011 examinations. His father is also an IPS officer.

Abhishek’s wife Durga Shakti Nagpal is also an IAS officer. She is known for her honesty and efficient working style. She is a resident of Nagpal in Chhattisgarh and has done B Tech. She secured AIR 20 in the UPSC.

Abhishek organized Ganeshotsava in 2023 at Jaunpur. Many stars of Bollywood took part in the show. It is said that the programme was a prelude to Abhishek Singh contesting for Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
