The other day I saw a lineman handling a fuse with slippers and bare hands early in the morning. Our safety standards are pathetic .. Looks like our "chaltha hai" attitude is going stay with us eternally .

Who is responsible for this great tragedy should be booked for Culpable homicide -- heads have to roll -- everything i taken lightly -- no fear of law -- or consequences -- now grieving family will be consoled by saying KARMA - -etc etc ---- no standard operating procedures -- whims and fancies work goes on --

HOW SMART IS THE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER FROM THE PESCOM WHO ORDERED THE LINEMAN TO CLIMB THE POLE WITHOUT ENSURING THAT THE POWER SUPPLY WAS TOTALLY CUT OFF TILL HE CAME DOWN FROM THE POLE SAFELY 😔?

Again reiterating; one of the worst and corrupt power utility services in the country.......if they cannot ensure the safety of their own workers ( these deaths are caused by working on live wires), imagine the safety point of view of the users.....these type of deaths by electrocution have become too frequent to be not noticed by the administration.....high time suitable action is initiated before more innocent people fall prey to death by accidental electrocution.... sorry state of affairs in the so called Smart City 😷🙏🙏

Transmission lines are very badly managed all over Karnataka particularly the coastal belt under MESCOM. Despite surplus power availability in the State power keeps going off due to the mess in transmission lines. Several linemen died trying to maintain the lines. Surprisingly none seems to be questioning them. A day will come soon when the people teach them lessons how to be obedient to your employers.

@Balkrishna; as I have been repeatedly saying that this is one of the worst power utility services company around; it's another big black spot on this so called Smart City! HIGH TIME, ALL ACCIDENT VICTIMS OF ELECTROCUTION JOIN TOGETHER AND FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT ON THIS SLOPPY ENTITY! BTW, THE CHANCES OF SOME INNOCENT PEOPLE DYING BY ACCIDENTAL ELECTROCUTION ARE EXTREMELY HIGH IN IN THIS SMART CITY! CAN YOU IMAGINE THEIR OWN PROFESSIONAL LINEMEN PERISHING VERY FREQUENTLY BY ELECTROCUTION, THEN WHAT SAFETY CAN A CONSUMER EXPECT! WORST TO WORST THAN ANY THIRD WORLD PLACE....

Its all about population , when supply is abundant the quality is low and comes at a low price. In countries with high population the value of life is low and safety is all about valuing life and quality of life. Most of the organizations have safety as a compliance point. Everyday I notice people without proper helmet pass by the police and police is not able to do anything. Dont blame the police because there are very few policemen than that are actually required per 100 people in public. Why ? because if you increase the police force to match the police to per person ratio of the western world then it will come at a huge cost to the government. So government is also running the country by adjustments at a low budget and it goes on in every sector and we blindly blame the country as third world and so on....we never see the population burden that the country is facing , the population that the public has created.....think about it.

Just have a casual look at the type of transmission lines around the main Smart City (forget about interior areas), and you will get an idea of the type of equipment, material, and THIRD grade workmanship.. worse than any third world place 😞😞🙏

MESCOM....train your linemen properly how to maintain powerlines, Transformers and Sub-Stations....before sending them for Work...Same thing while issuing Drivers Licenses....Improperly trained but Licensed Vehicle Driver is just like 'Suicide Bomber'....potentials of killing himself and others as well....Unless you don't do this ASAP....you will remain 3rd world Country forever....Tak...Takk...
