Mangaluru, Jan 28: Aasare Gelayara Balaga, Mangaluru commemorated its seventh anniversary with a grand event, ‘Aasare Saptasambhrama - 2024,’ on January 26. The celebration, held at Sumasadan, Lions Seva Mandira, Mallikatte Kadri, Mangaluru, was a testament to the organization's commitment to philanthropy, education, and healthcare.
The evening commenced with the observation of the establishment day, marking seven years of dedicated service by Aasare Gelayara Balaga Mangaluru. In a poignant gesture, financial aid was distributed to individuals facing health challenges, exemplifying the organization's unwavering commitment to social welfare.
Distinguished guests, including Sister Ellen Mary, retired nursing superintendent of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, and Dr Rohachandra R Gatti, a prominent orthopedic surgeon, added prestige to the event. Jaganath Bangera, president of Aasare Gelayara Balaga Mangaluru, presided over the occasion, emphasizing the organization's leadership in community service.
The event also witnessed the recognition of academic excellence, as scholarships and talent awards were presented to deserving students, encouraging them to pursue higher education.
Medical professionals, Dr Venkatesh Kumpal and Dr Vidya Vinuth D'Souza, both associated with Father Muller Medical College Hospital, played pivotal roles in the proceedings, highlighting the organization's collaboration with the healthcare sector.
William Saldanha, a progressive farmer and dedicated social worker, received accolades for his outstanding contributions. Lolaksha, the honorary president of Aasare Gelayara Balaga Mangaluru, was also acknowledged for his steadfast service.
