Udupi: Twin District Shutterbugs Scoop Top Spots in ‘Janmashtami’ Photo Contests

Udupi, Sep 19: Raghavendra, proprietor of the city’s Focus Studio, and Manoj Attavar, proprietor of Mangalore-based Studio Vijeta – Attavar, bagged the first and second prizes respectively in the ‘Colours of Sri Krishna’, state-level photography contest organized jointly by Udupi Press Photographers’ Association (UPPA), Vodaphone Karnataka, and Shiroor Mutt here recently.
 
Nagesh Vasudev Prabhu, amateur photographer of the city, bagged the third prize.
 
Divakar Kateel Udupi, Prasanna Perdoor, Sharat Nayak, and Ravi Hosamanike bagged the consolation prizes.
 
Ramesh Chavan of Bijapur and Prabhakar of city-based Genius Graphics bagged the first and second prizes respectively in ‘Udupi Vittla Pindi’ state-level photography competition. Prasanna Perdoor bagged the third prize.
 
Prakash R Hippalagi, Sukumar Kodavoor, Ravi Kumar Saligrama, and Dhanaraj Pai of Udupi bagged the consolation prizes.
 
Juror Ajit Ambalapady bagged the special prize for jury comprising of Latavya Acharya, Astro Mohan, Suhas Kini, and Janardhan Kodavoor.  The jury was led by Swami Laxmivarateerta of Shiroor Mutt.
