Bahrain Catholic Church to celebrate Feast of Presentation of Lord on Feb 2

Manama, Jan 31: The Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia and Sacred Heart Church will celebrate the feast of the Presentation of the Lord, on February 2.

This feast is the international day of consecrated life. Religious men and women renew their dedication to God in a spirit of commitment and life consecration.

The feast of the Presentation of the Lord holds immense importance in Catholic tradition as it commemorates the presentation of Jesus at the temple in Jerusalem. It is a day that reminds the dedication and obedience of Mary and Joseph, presenting their child to the Lord according to Jewish custom. This joyous occasion offers a unique opportunity for the Catholic community to come together in prayer, reflection, and worship.

The festivities will commence with solemn high Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, Awali and Sacred Heart Church, Manama. The Holy Mass will be celebrated with great reverence by the beloved priests of the cathedral and the Sacred Heart Church, Fr Saji Thomas and Fr Francis respectively, who will who will lead the congregation during the solemn Masses, rejoicing in the Gospel message and the significance of the Presentation of the Lord.
