Abu Halifa, Feb 2: The 12th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Billava Sangha Kuwait (BSK) was held on January 12, at the Dhoom Auditorium, Abu Halifa, Kuwait.
The event commenced with a prayer by Jyothi Sudhir Suvarna. Master of ceremony, Lohit Poojary welcomed president and all the BSK members. Lighting of lamp was done by the president Sushma Manoj along with the members of all committee.
President Sushma Manoj in her welcome speech appreciated all the committee members for working with unity towards the upliftment of the community.
General secretary Anish Kotian presented the annual report mentioning the activities carried out in the Year 2023, while the internal auditor Venu Gopal read out the financial report for the year 2023, both of which were approved by the members. A minor amendment on constitution was also read out and approved by the members present.
Welfare officer Charan R Suvarna spoke about the scholarship programme and other welfare activities conducted during the Year 2023.
Life members of the association were given certificates of lifetime membership.
A drawing competition was held for children and adults. Materials for colouring and drawing were provided by Manoj’s Drawing Classes, while Manoj Kumar judged the event. Prizes distributed for first and second place winners while certificate of participation was distributed among all the participants.

President Amarnath Suvarna addressed the gathering and requested the full cooperation from all the committee members in fulfilling his duties towards the association. The newly elected management committee honoured outgoing president Sushma Manoj with a memento, shawl, fruits and flowers.
The event was capably photographed by Arun Poojary, while Mithun Vishwanath handled the technical work for the event.
Vote of thanks was given by the new general secretary Prashanth Poojary.
The programme was concluded with tasty dinner by ‘Shaahi Thandoori’, Abbasiya.
The BSK management committee thanked all the sponsors and BSK members for their contribution towards the success of all the functions and the events that had taken place during the year 2023.
