Kundapur, Feb 2: Deputy commissioner (DC) of Udupi district Dr Vidyakumari said that sufficient government land is not available to allot land to the Koraga community as per the Mohammed Peer report that was submitted to government 30 years ago.
Vidyakumar spoke with the media after partaking in the valedictory function of Basket manufacturing training camp that was held at Nada-Padukone.
The DC further said, “Instructions are given to revenue officers to give details of government land availability. Based on the report, land will be distributed. Some others have applied under Akrama Sakrama. It will be verified and implemented.”
