Mangaluru, Feb 5: Industrialist Ullal Nandan Mallya has been appointed as the district president of the BJP Yuva Morcha on February 3.
Appointments to all the Morchas of the district team of the party were announced by the BJP president Satish Kumpala on February 3.
He is one among the young new faces from Mangaluru city, after Capt Brijesh Chowta who was recently appointed as the state secretary to the party’s new team led by president B Y Vijayendra.
An emerging third generation entrepreneur an industrialist Nandan Mallya has served as the treasurer of BJYM from 2013-16 and general secretary of BJYM – Mangaluru from 2016-19.
Mallya accords his interests in social service and nation-building to his association with the RSS right from the days of Jan Sangh, through the inspiration of his family.
A graduate form St Aloysius College has an MBA in marketing & finance from SDMIMD, Mysuru. Has worked for an MNC it is his deep rooted desire to come back to his family business of rice production and has taken to entrepreneurship which has brought him back to his roots. He has also, ventured into the export industry and started an agro-based export house that deals with various countries across the world.
Driven by the party’s core ideology of ‘Nation First’ and embodying both the cultural values and entrepreneurial spirit of the region, Mallya has been actively involved in various social initiatives in Mangaluru, especially to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
He is currently serving as the conveyor of Laghu Udyog Bharthi, Dakshina Kannada unit & the secretary of the Sanghaniketan Ganeshotsava organised by Keshava Smrithi Samvardhana Samithi (RSS).
Nandan as a young and energetic source to the party is determined to do the best to serve the youth and encourage them and make sure that the central schemes form the Modi government benefits the youth of Dakshina kannada. The immediate priority would be to reach out to the first time voters, educated them about the progress which has happened in the last decade under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through this new responsibility.
