Mangaluru: St Anthony Ashram gears up for grand relic feast of St Anthony of Padua

Mangaluru, Feb 6: Devotees across the city are eagerly awaiting the annual relic feast of St Anthony of Padua, set to be celebrated with grandeur on February 8, at the Milagres Church grounds.

The highlight of the festivities will be the main festive holy mass, celebrated at 6 pm by the esteemed Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, bishop emeritus of the Diocese of Mangalore. Fr Clifford Fernandes, parish priest of Kulshekar Church, will deliver the sermon, enriching the spiritual experience.

On the feast day, Fr Trishan D'Souza, bishop’s secretary and Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest of Permannur Church will be celebrating morning mass at 6 am and 9:30 am at St Anthony ashram, Jeppu respectively.

Fr Ebin will be celebrating Malayalam mass at 4:30 pm at Milagres Church. Anticipation builds for a day filled with spiritual significance and community jubilation.

This year's feast carries a special theme, "Let those who received, proclaim," emphasizing the importance of sharing blessings and spreading the message of faith within the community. The day promises to be a vibrant blend of spiritual reflection, joyous celebration, and community spirit.
