Mausam's Brush with IAF a Publicity Stunt?

Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Sep 21: Pankaj Kapoor's 'Mausam' had a recent brush with the Indian Air Force over a few scenes that were demanded by them to be removed. Adding to the controversy, the film maker of the movie claims that he had sought their approval at the scripting stage itself.

The producer claims that the controversy in hand has already been addressed and necessary changes have been made to the sequence in question. But it looks like the needed effect is achieved. The film team's stand against the Force now looks like a scripted stunt to gather publicity. Buzz is that the publicity level of 'Mausam' has grown from 28% to 58%.

Leading lady of the movie, Sonam Kapoor, has revealed that she plays the character of a Kashmiri girl who falls in love with an IAF officer played by Shahid Kapoor.

Speaking about her character in the movie, she says, “She is a very simple girl and is motherless. She has been brought up by her father. Her father’s best friend is Kashmiri Pandit. She has lost a lot in life. She falls in love and the best part of her is that she believes in love. She is vey idealistic and positive. ”

The movie is scheduled to release on Friday September 23.

No wonder the stunt achieved the publicity that it needed, but I hope the movie is good too.
