Mangaluru: NSUI activists attempt to gherao MP Nalin's residence over lack of grants to DK

Mangaluru, Feb 8: The activists of NSUI attempted to gherao the residence of Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel accusing him of being a failure in bringing grants to the district and not doing any development in the district.

Urwa police personnel kept barricades around the house of Nalin and pushed the activists. NSUI district president Suhan Alva expressed anguish with Urwa station officer for not allowing them to gherao the residence of Kateel.

The activists tried to push the barricade in a bid to go inside the residence compound. However, the police took into custody 20-25 activists of NSUI. They also raised slogans ‘Nalin Hatavo, Desh Bachavo.”
