Puttur: Good Samaritan succumbs to injuries from bus accident

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Feb 9: Radha Ninnikkal (66), a resident of Ninnikkal and a member of Madhava Shishu Mandir Mathru Mandali, tragically passed away on Wednesday due to injuries sustained in a recent bus accident near Mani.

Radha's selfless act of offering her seat on the bus to a woman carrying a baby resulted in her losing her balance and falling onto the road, causing serious injuries. Despite being rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, her treatment proved unsuccessful, and she was brought back home where she breathed her last.

Survived by her daughter and two sons, Radha had recently lost her husband just a few months prior to the accident. She was known for her active participation in various organizations, including the Vanita Bhajana Mandali.

Remove driver and Conductor from the job and bus, and owner has to pay the loss to to to family. Otherwise this killer buses will kill all passengers and pedestrians. Poor RTO and administration. Better to induct our MCC staff to on special duties to ride the bus . They are specialist in riding at footpath vendors. Catch all those who occupy ladies seats and fine them havey amount and one day jail. REST IN PEACE, Radha madam.

Four seats which are allocated to senior citizens are occupied by youngsters. Conductors are supposed to take care of this. Most of the time if a senior citizen request to vacate their seat youngsters don't agree to vacate. I have even complained to city commissioner . He agreed to look into this matter but in vain. I am a senior citizen and i request for senior citizen seat if it is us occupied by youngsters. If they refuse other passengers don't support. They don't vacate seat not because they don't want to give, it is bcause their EGO hurts. So conductors from beginning to take care just like ladies seats.
