Bahrain: Champions Trophy – 2024 organized by Kannada Sangha concludes

Bahrain, Feb 10: Champions Trophy – 2024 soft ball flood lit cricket tournament organized by Kannada Sangha Bahrain that enthralled the sports lovers of the Island nation for three weeks concluded with a grand valedictory function.

IN total 34 men and women teams participated in the tournament. In the men’s final match Rafa Indian Stars team defeated New World team while in the women’s Kannada Sangha Bahrain A team defeated HPCA Queens and emerged as champions. In the match for boys below the age of 16 years HPCA team emerged as champions defeating NSP team.
























Javagal Srinath, who watched the final matches appreciated the sportsmanship of the players and distributed the prizes. President of Kannada Sangha Amarnath Rai expressed his gratitude to all those who cooperated to make the competition a grand success. Javagal Srinath was felicitated before the start of the final matches.

Vinod K Jacob, ambassador to Bahrain, who was the chief guest of the occasion, surprised everyone by speaking in Kannada language. President of the association Amarnath Rai, president of Dakshina Kannada cricket association and renowned doctor Srikant Rai, president of Bahrain Cricket Federation Mohammed Mansoor and vice president Mahesh Kumar were on the dais.

Amarnath Rai did the introductory speech and welcomed the gathering. Javagal Srinath was honoured with Memento, Shawl, Peta, fruits and flowers. Srinath appreciated wholeheartedly the working style of Kannada Sangha and answered the questions related to cricket with the audience.

General secretary Ramprasad Ammenadka compered the event. Chief coordinator of the event was John Deepak Pinto, sports secretary, Remy Pinto, D Ramesh and Ashwin Dayanand contributed immensely to the grand success of the tournament. BMMI company sponsored the event.
