Udupi: Police destroy 6.91kg ganja confiscated in eleven cases

Udupi, Feb 10: The police department destroyed 6.912 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 2,76,000, at Ayush Envirotech Private Limited in Padubidri on February 9.

This ganja had been confiscated from various police stations in the district. Udupi SP and president of the district drug disposal committee, Dr Arun K, additional SP S T Siddalingappa, P A Hegde, members of the district drug disposal committee, assistant SP Prabhu D T, Arvind Kalagujji, and other police officials were present during the operation.

The ganja had been seized in three cases at Manipal CEN police station, four cases at Manipal police station, and one case each at Kundapur, Kota, Malpe, and Padubidri police stations. Its destruction was ordered by the court.
