Manama: Bellevision Bahrain introduces its new 2024 committee

Manama, Feb 13: “A flower will not grow if the stem doesn’t support it, a house cannot be called house if there is no door to enter in, an association cannot function well if there is no strong executive committee’s support,” said the current president Rony Norbert Pinto in his presidential address.

Bellevision Bahrain a well-known name on the island stepped into its 14th year of existence by inducting the new committee for 2024 on the evening of February 9 in an event organized at Carlton Hotel in Adliya. The event was well attended by the members and our beloved well-wishers. 

The evergreen dynamic person Joel D’Sa welcomed everyone to the event and Joyce D’Souza and Reeva Pinto led the opening prayer, which was followed by the action song of hymns by Angela, Farrel, Ivanka, Nathan, Warren and Ronnel. Joel gave a short introduction of each Excom member and as a symbol of induction, pinned the badge on the president. Similarly, the other members were symbolically inducted by the president. The Excom members then lit the lamp and celebrated the happiness by cutting the cake. 

Rony Pinto in his presidential address thanked the outgoing committee and ensured that the new committee will work hand in hand to achieve another milestone. The outgoing committee of 2023 was felicitated with a memento. General secretary Sharmila Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks.

To make the evening brighter and romantic, valentine’s was also celebrated on this occasion. As part of the entertainment there were lovely songs rendered by Rony and Thomas Fernandes for couple dance and by Preetham Aranha, Ivan Sequeira and Mario Fernandes. Warren, Ronnel, Eliana and Joyce D’Souza performed fusion dances which were amazing and enthralling. Children, couple, singles all were kept busy with games and activity. Raffle draws were conducted at regular intervals and fabulous prizes were given. Special attraction was the photo booth to capture valentine moments, where members and guests posed for lovely pictures. 

Registration desk was manned by Preethi Pinto and Feena D’Souza. photography was covered by Rony Fernandes, Valentino Mathias was the DJ of the event, Vincent Martis assisted at the counter. Naveen and Judith Mendonca sponsored the yummy slice cake. One of our well-wisher Xavier Mathias generously provided everyone with cupcakes and takeaway gift for all the families. Nirmala along with Sharmila took charge of the entertainment. 

Scrumptious and mouth-watering food was arranged by Denis D’sa of Mysore Bhavan Restaurant.
