Doha Music Lovers Group hosts spectacular 'Super Dancer' event

Doha, Feb 13: Doha Music Lovers Group, in collaboration with Emote Edition Dance Studios, orchestrated a mesmerizing showcase of talent at the highly anticipated Super Dancer event. With over 300 passionate dancers vying for the prestigious title in both solo and group dance categories, the evening was a celebration of artistry and skill.

Under the adept leadership of Syed Rafi, president of Doha Music Lovers Group and chairman of CRIC Qatar, the event unfolded seamlessly, captivating audiences with a display of diverse dance forms. From classical to western, cinematic to folk dances, the competition embraced a wide spectrum of styles, enriching the cultural tapestry of the event.


The program, marked by professionalism and finesse, featured more than 72 captivating performances, each one showcasing the unique talent and creativity of the participants. A distinguished panel of 7 judges, renowned for their expertise and diverse backgrounds in dance, meticulously evaluated each performance, ensuring fairness and impartiality throughout the competition. They were Jishnu Sathyan C, Seema Rajith, Bhavna Shagar Naik, Kalamandalam Krishnapriya Rajesh, Ginesh aka Hungry Wolf, Mamani Nagaswamy and Manoj Kumar Bholan.

"This second season of the Super Dancer dance competition has exceeded all expectations, setting a new standard for excellence in the realm of dance," remarked Syed Rafi. "I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated team for their tireless efforts in organizing this remarkable event with transparency and integrity." The crowning moment arrived as the title winner was announced, a testament to the dedication and commitment displayed by all participants. The Super Dancer event stands as a shining example of artistic excellence and community spirit, inspiring future generations to embrace their passion for dance and strive for greatness.

Avanthika Rajesh secured the coveted title of Super Dancer Season 2 in the solo category, showcasing her exceptional talent across four distinct dance forms, outshining her competitors. In the group dance category, the esteemed title was awarded to the Nrutyodaya team. Both title winners were honored with Super Dancer cheques, generous cash prizes, and exquisite trophies in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

During the event, Jyothi and Sangeetha from Emote Edition Dance Studios expressed their gratitude to Syed Rafi for his collaboration, enhancing the excitement and entertainment of the competition. They eagerly anticipate the upcoming season 3.

Many dignitaries were present to witness the gala evening the list includes Jaiprakash Singh, president of CIA, K S Prasad, former ICC Advisory Council chairman, Harish Reddy, president of TKS, Venkappa Bhagavatula, president of AKV, Vikram Sukhavasi, general secretary of AKV, Choodamani, president of Doha Meditation Centre, Mohinder Jalandhary of M Paul Records, Noor Afshan of Channel 5, Jaweed Bajwa of Doha Music Lovers, Jyothi & Sangeetha from Magical Thread, Ravi from Emote Edition Dance Studios, Arun Lakshmanan, business director of Radio Mirchi and others.
