Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Sep 23: Some residents of Uppinangady, who grew suspicious about two young women, who were collecting donations in the name of a Mysore-based organization in Uppinangady town, handed them over to the policemen on Thursday September. They have been identified as Vidya and Lakshmi, residents of Mysore.

The duo was collecting money in the name of an organization purported to be working for destitute children at Mysore. They sold pre-printed coupons with a face value of Rs 20 each to shops and other establishments.

A few local people, who got doubts about the genuineness of the organization, posed some probing questions to the ladies. As the women failed to provide satisfactory answers to the queries, they were turned over to the local police.

Uppinangady policemen are investigating the genuineness of the women and their organization.
