Mumbai, Sep 27: Actress Mahie Gill, with her bold avatars in most movies, is not in the least affected by the tag. In fact she says that she has signed up for more and more such roles.
In ‘Not a love story’, Mahie plays a very bold character with one or two kissing scenes with co-star Deepak Dobriyal. When everybody was talking about the intimate scenes much before the movie was out, once the movie was screened, all focus was shifted to the script of the movie. Therefore, Mahie says that she certainly does not mind the ‘bold girl’ tag as once the audience watches her movies, their focus moves on to the content of the movie. She says, "I am okay and I happy with any tag as long as people make comment only after watching my movie”.
Mahie along with the movie cast, had been to the capital to promote the movie ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster’ directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The movie is said to be a modern day interpretation of Guru Dutt’s classic film ‘Saheb Bibi Aur Ghulam’.
In the movie, Randeep Hooda plays the role of a gangster who falls for the Nawab’s wife. In this movie too, Mahie gets to play a bold character. However, unlike her role in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Not a love story’, her role in ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ is that of a complex woman.
‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster’ is scheduled to release on September 30.
