Bollywood's 'Young Man' Celebrates 88th Birthday

Mumbai, Sep 27: Bollywood's yesteryear evergreen star Dev Anand celebrated his 88th birthday on Monday September 26.

Of late, Dev Anand has been busy promoting his upcoming movie 'Chargesheet' and is also working on a sequel to his 1971 movie titled 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna'.

Several celebrities from Bollywood conveyed their wishes to the star. Anupam Kher wrote a birthday note on social networking site Twitter that read, "Dev Saab is one of the main reasons for me being in films. Bunked school to watch his movies. Happy Birthday YOUNG man. You inspire us."

Film maker Madhur Bandarkar wrote, "Wishing Dev Anand saab many happy returns of the day. Have an evergreen rocking birthday blast Sir!!!"

Also actor Riteish Deshmukh and Subhash Ghai have written birthday wishes for Dev saab.

Speaking about his plans for his birthday, earlier, Dev Anand said, "I have lots of fans waiting at my office to wish me; they will shake my hand and not want to leave my hand. I don't have the guts to stay away from my fans because they have come to me with so much love and so it becomes my duty to spend time with them."
