Mandya, Mar 5: Personnel from the Western Police Station in the city have arrested two BJP workers for their involvement in raising pro-Pakistan slogans during a protest that took place one-and-a-half years ago at Sanjay Circle.
Kannambadi Kumar, a lawyer by profession, lodged an FIR regarding this incident, prompted by a video circulating on social media. The arrested individuals have been identified as Ravi and Aradhya from Dhanayakapura.
According to available information, these BJP workers had initially raised slogans against the then Foreign Minister of Pakistan. The question arises as to why a 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogan was raised by the BJP worker during a protest against a Pakistani minister. In the video, it is evident that another person behind the BJP worker who raised the pro-Pakistani slogan attempted to close his mouth.
The crucial aspect to note is that this incident transpired in December 2022 when the BJP government, led by CM Bommai, was in power. The question arises as to why an FIR was not filed at that time. Additionally, it raises eyebrows as to how lawyer Kannambadi Kumar stumbled upon the video on social media after 1.5 years. Only through a thorough investigation will the truth be revealed.
