Moodbidri, Mar 5: The School Merit Day celebration for grades 4, 5, and 6 was a vibrant and culturally rich event.
The celebration commenced with a prayer dance. Seelatham, a Tamil folk dance, was beautifully performed showcasing the school's commitment to preserving its rich heritage. The innovative welcome of the guests by Meldric, Sharvi, Lisha, and Shannen of grade 5 set the tone for the event. The much-anticipated prize distribution was a highlight, with Sr Maria Gracilda AC warmly welcoming the chief guest, Prasanth D’Souza, principal of Bhuvana Jyothi School, Shirthady, with a potted sapling. Sr Ranitha expressed gratitude, presenting a token of respect to the chief guest, while Sr Preena graced the occasion with her presence.
Prasanth D’Souza, in his insightful speech, congratulated all the winners and encouraged students to study diligently, excel in life, and fulfil their dreams while expressing gratitude to the institution. Sr Gracilda AC emphasized the values of discipline and hard work as crucial elements for achieving success in life. She urged students to set goals, remain loyal and truthful to the school and teachers.
The compering of the program by Kaylin of grade 6 added a delightful touch, ensuring smooth transitions and engaging the audience. The event concluded with Pearl Aranha and Aahan R M of grade 4 proposing a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for everyone's efforts in making the school merit day a memorable celebration. The day not only recognized academic achievements but also showcased the school's commitment to cultural diversity and holistic education.
