Sep 28: Singing legend Lata Mangeshkar turns 82 on Wednesday September 28. Even at this age, the charming, legendary singer is a live wire, and the favourite of millions.
On her 82nd birthday, she will have another feather on her already brimming cap, with the presentation of the 'Hridaynath' award in recognition of her insurmountable achievements. The Award will be presented by another bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan.
To pay tributes on her birthday, a well-known singer from Mangalore Anitha Samson presented a musical concert of Lata Mangeshkar hits, in Town Hall, Mangalore on September 26. Superhit bollywood songs rendered by Lata were performed in front of a packed audience who enjoyed every bit of it.
