Inauguration of IBCCI Bengaluru Chapter, signing of MOU with KDEM held

Mumbai, Mar 6: The Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI), a prestigious organization of Bunts community businessmen's union established in Brihanmumbai and operating across the country for the past 35 years, organized an industrial tour from last Wednesday, February 28 to Saturday, March 2 under the leadership of Chairman K C Shetty (Kutpady Chandra Shetty).

From Mumbai, along with about 45 industrialists, they went to Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, and visited many industries in and around the metropolis in 4 days. Ajit Rai, founder of Superjit Automotive Limited, Diwakar Shetty, founder of Shetron Limited, Thonse Anand M Shetty, managing director of Organic Industries Limited, Subhaschandra Hegde, founder and managing director of Confident Dental Systems, Machado & Ramdas, directors of Ace Manufacturing Systems Limited, Sarath Shetty, Bhagjun Shetty and Karthik Shetty, director of Lumens Aircon Pvt., co-founders Hotel Citrus, Dinakar Shetty, and Harish Shetty in association with the company visited along with an industry visit. The tour concluded with a meeting of Karnataka Small Industries.

A meeting was organized with the Mumbai Bangalore Business Conclave and Karnataka Small Industries Association last Friday (March 01) at Hotel Courtyard Marriott, Bengaluru, where former MP K. Jayaprakash Hegde was the chief guest and inaugurated the Indian Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bengaluru unit. Hundreds of people from Mumbai and Bengaluru participated in the convention.

Hegde also agreed to work closely with IBCCI to facilitate ease of doing business in Karnataka and advised the chamber to explore the huge potential of tourism in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.

The vice president of IBCCI Bengaluru Unit was announced in the program, and Upendra Shetty, managing director of Universal Education Institution, was selected as the new Vice President of the Bengaluru Chapter, and Rajesh Shetty, Managing Director of Shankar Electricals Pvt Ltd, was selected as the Coordinator, IBCCI Vice Chairman S.B Shetty announced. Upendra Shetty and Rajesh Shetty spoke and encouraged becoming members of IBCCI and hoped to have more than 300 members soon.

Karnataka Small Scale Association president CA Shashidhara Shetty said that the purpose of the trip was to demonstrate the ease of doing business in his home state Karnataka. All felt that more such business trips should be conducted in the future to help identify Karnataka as the most progressive business-friendly state. The participating delegates expressed their willingness to work closely with IBCCI for the better development of the industries as they were able to gain a lot of learning from each trade visit.

KDEM CEO Sanjeev Gupta was present during the signing of the historic MoU between Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and IBCCI. Gupta gave a detailed account of the changing face of Karnataka and the most influential community is the Bunts, of the coastal district of Karnataka. Experienced professionals in the industry can play a vital role in a successful enterprise. According to the MOU, the IBCCI organization can use KDEM's office. It will help work closely and energetically with the Karnataka state government, he said.

IBCCI chairman K C Shetty wished the Chamber to act as a catalyst to promote business, commerce, and industry networking for its members. Everyone should be an active member to make IBCCI a very influential organization. Gujaratis and Marwadis have a strong association in Mumbai as well as India. It helps to strengthen the business. They help the youth of their community become entrepreneurs, IBCCI is also such a platform, and therefore everyone should be an active member to promote business success requested all the members present to become members of IBCCI soon.

S B Shetty said that the opening of IBCCI Bengaluru chapter was the dream of renowned industrialists and my brother B D Shetty. It was B D Shetty's wish that IBCCI should work with KDEM. All this is now realized. He said that unlike other associations, we do not ask for donations from any of our members; instead, we try to make them successful businessmen.

General secretary Srinath Shetty said that this Bengaluru unit of IBCCI has the potential to create a business corridor between Maharashtra and Karnataka. The Pune chapter and Udupi unit will be started soon. He emphasized the need to provide adequate business opportunities to the youth of the community and the importance of networking in industries. Among other initiatives, Bunts Chamber is focusing on an incubation center. It helps mature new startups or mentors existing businesses. With the changing environment, it is necessary for all to work together and network with each other.

Bunts business tycoon Thonse Anand M Shetty, managing director of Organic Industries, greeted IBCCI and explained his journey as a successful entrepreneur and how he has expanded his business not only in the domestic market but also globally.

K D Shetty, founder of Bhavani Shipping spoke and shared his growth story from the beginning of the business in Karnataka and now his shipping business established in Mumbai with prestige and wished IBCCI all the best.

Kishan J Shetty of Adyar Gardens wished the IBCCI Bengaluru Chapter well and assured the Chamber of its support and assistance, saying that they already have a lot of investment in the state of Karnataka and are exploring more investment opportunities.

C A Shankar Shetty wished success to the Bengaluru Chapter. IBCCI Director Jaya Sooda gave a wonderful presentation about the Bunts Chamber. Joint secretary Srinivas Shetty with IBCCI proposed a vote of thanks.
