Kasargod: Two college students die in road mishap near Bandiyod

Kasargod, Mar 8: A tragic road accident near Bandiyod claimed the lives of two college students on Friday morning. The accident involved a collision between a tipper lorry and a bike.

The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Musabh (20), a resident of Uppala and Mohammed Amin Maharoof (20), a resident of Vamanjoor in Manjeshwar  who was riding pillion with the former. 

The accident occurred when Musabh, along with Amin, was returning home from Kasargod on his bike. Musabh and Maharoof had taken part in a programme in Kasaragod. Both were students of a private college in Mangaluru.

Due to the impact of the collision, both of them were thrown on the road and were seriously injured. They were admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru. While Musabh breathed his last in the afternoon, Maharoof did not respond to the treatment in hospital and died in the evening. 

The Manjeshwar police conducted an inquest of the mortal remains of both the students.
