Mangaluru: Gopi Kamath’s 'Evergreen Melodies’ entertains large audience

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Gopi Kamath, a musician and instrumentalist from UAE, organized a musical evening titled 'Evergreen Melodies’, presented by Flashback Events and Inderjot Singh Chandhok, at Hotel Moti Mahal Convention Hall on Saturday, March 9.

Gopi Kamath was joined by renowned musicians and singers, including violinist Ranga Pai and Marathi playback singer Anushka Chadha. The event featured retro hits from the 1950s to the 1980s, with renditions of timeless Hindi retro songs such as ‘Vakratunda Mahakaya’, ‘Zara Si Aahat Hoti Hai’, ‘Ek Haseen Sham Ko Dil Mera Kho Gaya’, ‘Hum Aur Tum Aur Ye Samah’, ‘Aaeye Mehraban’, ‘Diwana Hua Badal’, and many others.

The musical evening was a resounding success, with the audience cheering and humming along to the songs. Gopi Kamath not only sang the songs but also provided insights into the directors, composers, and singers behind them, enriching the audience's experience.

A large audience turned out for the concert and thoroughly enjoyed the musical performances by Gopi Kamath and his team. This marks the second time that Gopi Kamath has performed in Mangaluru, showcasing his versatility across vocals, guitar, keyboard, and harmonica.

    Gopi Kamath is a great entertainer with 60s 70s 80s and 90s music. As far as I remember he started playing music at very age young on his own with various languages and today he can really entertain a large crowd with lovely music. I wish him and his team for many more shows and a bring happiness to the crowd . Cheers!

    Gopi Kamath and his team presented an entertaining melodies covering old Hindi, Kannada, English and Konkani songs. It was a pleasure meeting Gopi after a period of over 50 years. Well done and keep it up.
