DCPL Season-1 for Konkani Catholic community set to be held on Apr 21

Dubai, Mar 9: For the first time for the Middle East Konkani community, Dubai Catholic Premier League (DCPL) Season-1, an auction-based franchisee theme under-arm tournament for both men and women is going to be held on the April 21 at DC Stadium in Sharjah. Underarm cricket lovers from all over the Coastal areas mainly Mangaluru and Udupi region will be participating in this event. The tournament will include 10 men's and 4 women's teams.

The men’s franchises are Viking Warriors Hospet, Blenders Cricket Club, Team Shalom, Arabian Bosco Legends, Team Spartans, B-town Mangalore Lions, Ocean Cricketers, Planet Air, DXB Kudla and TS-11.

The women’s franchises are Team Shalom, Hawk Eye, Kudla Knight Riders and Team Spartans.

The player bidding auctions were held on March 3 at Titli Club, Majestic Hotel in Bur Dubai. As many as 160 men and 60 women registered for the auctioning event. Joseph Matais, Ronald Martis, Dayan D’Souza, Vinod Shetty, along with John Lancy D’Souza were the dignified attendees. The event is being organized by Team AB, under the banner of TRU EVENTS.
