Bengaluru water crisis: There is no water in my house, says DKS

Bengaluru, March 9 (IANS): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, while referring to the water crisis in Bengaluru city, on Saturday said that there is no water in his house as well.

“Media is showing the water crisis. I don’t deny it. Bore wells have gone dry. In my house, there is no water as well. There is no water in my village and surroundings,” Shivakumar told media persons.

He said that in Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagar districts are also facing a water crisis. “We are preparing to bring water from outside to face any emergency. There is no need to panic. The value of water should be known to everyone,” Shivakumar said.

“The water will be supplied to 110 villages around Bengaluru by May end under the Cauvery 5th stage project,” he added.

He said that for the first time in the history of Bengaluru, tankers are controlled, and regulated while the tanker mafia has come to an end.

“We are also checking the BWSSB plan of action in terms of supplying drinking water. Nodal officers are told to identify the sources of water,” he said.

In DKannada too, it's a big fad to celebrate social functions mainly for purpose of show off; the unfortunate ones who cannot afford are socially compelled to keep lavish functions by taking personal loans and remain in debt for many years 😭! As per a survey 65% of families in this country take large amount of personal loans to get their daughters married off; many in rural areas remain indebted for life to loan sharks due to their high, compounding, interest rates; all because of societal pressures added by media show biz of celebrity marriage functions!

All need to pray for early rains and God's mercy ? Following quoted and referenced, part of recent Divine message to Jennifer, dated February 22nd 2024, about water shortages across earth... "Many lakes will dry up because the earth will respond according to the depth of man’s sin. When my children seek to rebel against my church, my commandments, my creation, my plan, and refuse to accept my mercy, there is no longer harmony between heaven and earth. It is time for my children to open their eyes because the temptation is great. There is a bounty for your soul but I have paid your ransom through my passion, death, and resurrection. My children, you have nothing to fear if you are walking in my light and praying for those who are not. Now go forth, for I am Jesus and be at peace, for my mercy and justice will prevail.”... Sirji; Only solution is start large scale sewage water treatment plants at prime places; it's proven beyond doubt that water so treated can be used not only for agricultural or industrial purposes, but also for drinking purposes. Depending on the purpose, there are different degrees of purifications. BTW; in some country even a special brand of beer is brewed using treated sewage water!! Please note this is a very personal opinion based on my understanding and perception; please do your own research and analysis before believing in anybody's personal opinion 🤠🤠

People, flush with funds, are very busy organising and attending social and religious functions on a large scale quite oblivious of the severe potable water scarcity! It would be in the fitness of things to strongly discourage such people from organising such functions if not curtailing or banning them straight away; this will lead to large scale saving of precious potable water in these trying times!?😔🙏🙏

It is absurd to say that there is no water in my house. How does one survive without water. Marie Antoinette, just before the French revolution had said - If you don't have bread, eat cakes. Is this the message our politicians are sending to the common man.

Ironically, all filthy rich people in the third world have alternative accommodation (huge mansions) in atleast one cosy and safe location abroad; they will be the first to wriggle out in a catastrophic situation... Btw, recently one owner of a jab mfg co bought a big mansion, among the costliest, in the UK, which news is in the public domain.!

@Eva; people, flush with funds, are very much busy arranging and attending religious and social functions afternoon evening and night, everyday, wildly OBLIVIOUS OF THE ACUTE POTABLE WATER SCARCITY!! In fact, during these tough times, such large gatherings of people for social, religious, political functions should be strongly discouraged if not banned; this will result in large scale saving of precious potable water!!
