Archit Chandak, who turned down Rs 35 lac job offer, achieves success in IPS

Nagpur, Mar 10: Archit Chandak, an IPS officer hailing from Shankar Nagar in Nagpur district, Maharashtra, declined a lucrative job offer from a Japanese company offering a salary of Rs 35 lac. A mechanical engineering graduate from IIT, Chandak prioritized his passion for serving the nation and prepared for the UPSC exams.

Topping his city in the IIT JEE exams in 2012, Chandak completed his BTech in 2016 and dedicated himself to civil services exam preparation in 2018.

He achieved an All India Rank of 184 in his first attempt. Currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Nagpur, Chandak is not only an IPS officer but also a fitness enthusiast who has completed the 42 km Mumbai marathon. Additionally, he is an accomplished chess player with a Fide rating of 1820.
