Always keep the main door or main gate locked until the child grows up to atleast 7-8 years.

Since the house of the child is situated near the roadside parents shoul take proper care of their child instead of running to roadside which is very dangerous to childs life. Blaming the rikshaw and other vehicles driver makes no sense. However drivers should also be careful while driving.

I remember in Dubai, almost 25 years back. a mother was holding the child's hand and walking. in the footpath. All of a sudden , the child forcibly removed its hand grip and ran towards the road. Vehicle came and hit. This memory cannot be eradicated from my mind.

Richards Mangalore, kindly dont give any fault here to Rickshaw or other vehicles. Its solely mistake of parents who have to take care of small children who live near the road.Small children are more attracted by auto, bikes etc and run without warning thinking to play. However one is trying to take care of children ,happens simply. We made the experience once which still is in memory ,As we were with children walking on footpath, all of a sudden my son who was small5years old ran across the road ,seeing someone familiar person. For our good luck ,or Gods grace vehicles were not moving at that particular time. Both sides our side and opposite.Cant imagine what would have happened if any car was moving.Still I wake up sometimes with that thought even after many years.Sad it happened.Heartfelt sympathy to family..May the soul of that child rest in peace.
