Mangaluru, Mar 20: In an effort to conduct the Lok Sabha elections 2024 peacefully and fairly, based on the directions of Hon’ble Election Commission, Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has been implementing various preventive measures to maintain public peace and order.
As part of this, on Wednesday, March 20, externment orders have been issued against 10 individuals. This is in addition to 26 people against externment orders were issued earlier this month. They have been externed to different districts and a close watch is being kept over their activities, in an effort to have peaceful elections.
Furthermore, up to March 20, as a measure to keeping peace and maintain good behavior, security bond have been imposed on 381 individuals who are habitual offenders and likely to commit breach of the peace this year.
