Ankan Sen's 'Just Dance' to Victory

Mumbai, Oct 2 (IANS): Ankan Sen, who has been enthralling TV viewers with his smooth contemporary dance moves finally got his reward when he was declared the winner of Star Plus' reality show "Just Dance" in a star-studded grand finale Saturday night.

The show started off with 13 contestants on board from all over the world.

Eighteen-year-old Sen beat Mumbai boy Karan Khanna and Delhi-based Surjeet Bansal, both 24, in the final round. He walked away with the winner's trophy, Rs.1 crore cash award as well as a Maruti Suzuki Swift car, which he can officially drive now.

He also got a golden chance of getting to shake a leg with his idol, Bollywood heartthrob and the show's judge, Hrithik Roshan on the same stage. The judges' panel also included ace choreographers Vaibhavi Merchant and Farah Khan.

Surjeet Bansal, who came second, was given a cheque of Rs.1 million each by Hrithik and the channel. He also drove him a Maruti Suzuki Swift car.

Hosted by Ayushmann Khurana, the finale's Bollywood quotient was raised by actresses Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who came to promote his superhero film "RA.One", was invited as the special guest on the show, and he added more entertainment to the ceremony.

The finale also saw the presence of the Roshan family. From Hrithik's maternal grandparents to his parents Rakesh and Pinky, his sister Sunaina, as well as his wife Suzanne came on the show.
