Shimoga diocese celebrates Chrism Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral

Shivamogga, Mar 22: Diocese of Shimoga celebrated Chrism Mass on March 21 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.  

On March 20, all the clergy serving in the Diocese of Shivamogga gathered at Pastoral Renewal Centre, Sannidhi, Shivamogga for the recollection. Fr Jossie SJ preached the recollection. 

On day 2, March 21, Fr Jossie SJ dealt with 'Discernment in troubled times'. Bishop Francis Serrao SJ addressed his clergy and gave his message. Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha, vicar general of Diocese of Shivamogga thanked the preacher and the Bishop Francis for organising the recollection. He also thanked Sannidhi director Msgr Duming Dias. 

In the evening Francis Serrao SJ, bishop of diocese of Shivamogga concelebrated Holy Eucharist with his priests at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga. Large number of faithful and religious sisters participated in the Chrism Mass. Bishop elect of diocese of Karwar Msgr Duming Dias preached a meaningful homily on the occasion. Bishop blessed the oils and priests renewed their commitment to the Church. Parish Priest Fr Stany D'Souza thanked everyone.
