Mangaluru, Mar 22: In an effort to conduct Lok Sabha elections 2024 peacefully and fairly based on guidelines of the Election Commission of India, the Mangaluru city police commissionerate has been implementing preventive measures to maintain public peace and order within its jurisdiction.
As part of this on March 21 and 22, externment orders have been issued against 12 individuals, which is in addition to 36 people against externment orders issued earlier this month.
They have been externed to different districts and a close watch is being kept over their activities, to have peaceful elections.
According to a press release, security bonds have been imposed on 410 individuals up to today who are habitual offenders and are likely to commit breach of peace.
