SSLC exams underway in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 25: The SSLC exams commenced in the twin districts on Monday, March 25, with meticulous preparations by the district administration to ensure a smooth process and prevent any untoward incidents.

In Dakshina Kannada district, a total of 30,348 students are taking the examinations. Among them, 27,663 are regular school students, 1,053 are private candidates, and 1,632 are repeaters.

As many as 6123 students in Bantwal zone, 4035 under Beltangady zone, 5810 under Mangaluru north zone, 5452 under Mangaluru south zone, 1948 under Moodbidri, 4995 under Puttur and 1985 students under Sullia zone will write the examinations. There are 17 examination centres at Bantwal, 13 in Beltangady, 18 in Mangaluru north, 16 in Mangaluru south, five in Moodbidri, 13 in Puttur and six in Sullia. The total number of examination centres in Dakshina Kannada are 88.

Udupi

In the district of Udupi, 2140 students from Byndoor, 2778 from Kundapur, 2783 from Karkala, 2887 from Udupi north, 3743 from Udupi south will be writing the examination. The total number of students is 14331. There are 15 examination centres in Udupi, 11 at Brahmavar, eight each in Kundapur and Byndoor and nine at Karkala.

To ensure exam integrity and student convenience, CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination centres in both districts. Signboards have been erected for student guidance, and proper seating arrangements have been made. Basic facilities such as drinking water and toilets are available, and the district administration has arranged suitable bus transportation for exam candidates.
