Mumbai, Oct 3: For Shah Rukh Khan’s dream project ‘Ra.One’, megastar of South cinema, Rajinikanth, on the actor’s request, will be flying down to the city to shoot for the movie.

Rajinikanth, despite being advised by the doctors to take rest from work due to his health condition, decided to fly down to shoot at Subhash Ghai’s ‘Whistling Woods’ studio.

Sources said that the earlier plan was to shoot at Ramoji Rao studio in Hyderabad. But Rajinikanth preferred shooting in Mumbai as it was for Hindi Cinema."The 'RA.One' team thought shooting at Whistling Woods was safer, since Ghai is an old friend of Shah Rukh's and would ensure the shoot went off smoothly," sources said.

On the other hand, Rajini’s daughter Aishwarya refuted the news saying that her father was not shooting for the movie. In fact, even the ‘Ra.One' team is keeping mum on this issue but Oscar Award winner sound designer Resul Pookutty has confirmed Rajini’s visit.

Speaking to mediapersons he said, "I am excited that Rajini sir will be part of Ra.One. The thought of seeing both superstars (Rajinikanth and Khan) come together in one frame is exciting."
