Frontline meeting of various units of Udupi District Congress Committee held

Udupi, Mar 25: A meeting of the frontline units of the Congress was held at the district party office regarding the Lok Sabha election strategies.

District Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor presided over the meeting.

Addressing the heads of various units, he said that the office-bearers of all the frontline units should fulfill the responsibility given by the party and strive for the victory of the party's candidate with the highest number of votes. "There is no doubt that the dream will come true. Jayapraksh Hegde has contributed to the comprehensive development of Udupi with its formation as a district during his tenure," he said.

Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha Constituency Congress candidate Jayaprakash Hegde said that the people should be convinced of the contribution made by Siddaramaiah to the coastal region during his tenure. "Starting from identifying the non-active members and making them active, the leaders should take steps to get active members to join the party. The state government's Gruha Lakshmi scheme will encourage women's self-reliance. The government is helping in getting employment for graduates. Workers should convince the voters on these schemes of the government," he said.

In the meeting, district Congress working president Kishan Hegde Kolkebail? leaders M A Gaffur, Bhaskar Rao Kediyoor, Murali Shetty and various unit presidents Harish Kini? Annaiah Sherigar, Geeta Wagle? Shashidhar Shetty Yellur, Kiran Hegde? Sarfuddin Sheikh? Jayakumar? Jayakumar Naik? Saurabh Ballal? Deepak Kotian? Kishore Kumar Yermal? Vishwas Amin?
