Mumbai, Oct 4: Salman Khan's decision to undergo the facial nerve surgery in the US during the release of his mega blockbuster 'Bodyguard' proved to be the right one.

It is learnt that even a small delay in treating the the facial nerve problem would have landed the star in coma.

Of course, as of now, the star is healthy even though he gets pain on his jaw line during heavy shooting schedules.

Speaking about his health condition, Sallu said, "I’ve recovered about 60 per cent. There’s no surefire method to cure this. But in hindsight, if I had delayed the surgery, let’s say for another year, who knows? I would have landed in a coma, the way Jagjit Singh is right now.” Salman Khan had been suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia for the last seven years.

Salman is currently shooting for 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Dublin and has to keep flying down to Mumbai to shoot for 'Bigg Boss 5' with buddy Sanjay Dutt.

    Ms.Jennet Prescilla, Mangalore / Muscat..what you said is absolutely right..of course he his big philanthrophists and not selfish..he also given 'blood money' to victim in 'hit-and-run' bakery case wherein one died and four injured...while he his under influence of liquor!!For his good deed he will go direct to 'jannat' and not hang in-between!!

    Well I am not an ardent fan of any actors/actresses since they are all mostly selfish people. But Salman Khan stands out among the rest of all these people and I have full respect for this guy. He is the only selfless person in the film industry and works towards the upliftment of the poor kids and people.

    He is always eager to help the less priveleged and has a heart of gold.

    But the rest of them are all selfish busy filling in their pockets and turn a deaf ear to the needy.

    So hats off to you Salman your a real hero unlike the others and you will be surely blessed for the good work you do always.

    Have you ever seen or heard Amitabh Bachan/Shah Rukh Khan /Aishwarya /Katrina Kaif etc come out to help the needy they just want publicity and fame.

    I was reading the comments of the viewers on this article about Actor Salman Khan's ailment. Instead of being sympathetic such silly remarks are posted. He is an actor and his personal life is his, who are you people to comment on it. Atleast appreciate the good works he has done. He has sponsored the entire computer lab in one of the schools dedicated to street children, this was acknowledged by one of the boys of that school who was mentored by dance mastreao Terrance and reached the top 3 level in Dance India Dance little masters. Again, he came on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa recently, and offered to sponsor the complete education of one of the participants, who though 10 years old does not know the three "R"s of educations as his father cannot afford to send him to School. Well guys always appreciate the good of a person and not depracate him. Pray for his good health, as India requires many of such philanthrophists and not selfish and self centred politicians and industrialists. I am not a fan of film actors nor a movie buff but a person who appreciates the goodness when I see it.

    I hope it never hit heart attack for salman khan. Because of his personality very nice nobody have like him in the world. so how come this happening with him. i dont believe. sure he is healthy person. i like him. God bless you.
