Mumbai, Oct 7: Actor turned producer, Shilpa Shetty has now opened her own website for real estate dealings with a leading construction company.
The website called www.grouphomebuyer.com, went live on Thursday October 6. Shilpa's husband Raj Kundra's venture, aims at helping citizens buy their desired dream home of their choice in a locality they prefer, at a considerable cost.
Speaking about her website, Shilpa says, “Having a house of their own is everyone’s wish but given the sky-rocketing costs today, it’s fast becoming a distant dream. Market observers have cautioned that real estate purchases and sales have dipped. So, we thought we could become catalysts for buyers and sellers."
The company works on the idea of making bulk purchases which will be offered to buyers at a decent discount.
Apart from this, the website will also help to arrange house insurance, home loans and also interior decor at reasonable rates. Shilpa’s website also accepts online payments for everything from paperwork to home loans.
Shilpa adds that the company will be giving the buyers a virtual tour of the houses before they purchase, so they don’t feel cheated when seeing the actual property.
Shilpa will be returning to the big screen after four years with the Sino-Indian venture "The Desire".
"I have taken a backseat from showbiz purely out of choice because I am really enjoying what I am doing. I've been there and done that," Shilpa told reporters here at the launch of the website.
"I miss being on the silver screen but I have learnt to prioritise things and my marriage is obviously my first priority.
"Then all my ventures where I have put my hard earned money and my sweat and toil into, obviously require time. So it's not possible for me to dabble into too much," she said.
The 36-year-old, who has appeared in nearly 40 films, is soon going to make her debut as a producer.
"My production isn't on hold. We are still working on it and there will be an official announcement very soon," she said.
