Kasargod: Christ The King church holds community Day, KPL

Kasargod, Apr 15: Community Day and the KPL (Kayyar Premier League) finale at Christ The King Church, featured a diverse array of programmes.

The solemn Mass held for the occasion was officiated by Fr Stany Pereira, the chief priest of the Kasargod zone and parish priest of Bela Mother of Sorrows Church, and Fr Vishal Monis, the parish priest of Kayyar Christ the King Church, led the congregation.

Following the Mass, a stage program commenced, presided over by Fr Stany Pereira. The esteemed chief guests were Alex Castelino, director of Daijiworld, and Denis D’Silva, an entrepreneur and social worker.

Joining them on the dais were Fr Vishal Monis, Roshan D’Souza (vice president of the pastoral committee), Reena D’Souza (secretary), Avinash Machado (member of Paivalike gram panchayat), Sr Jasmine Lewis, and George D’Almeida.

During the event, winners of the Bible quiz and other activities were honoured by the chief guests, and the KPC winners received their trophy. Additionally, Baptist Crasta, Asha D’Souza, and Francis Monteiro, who served as gurkars, were felicitated.

George Crasta presented the yearly activity report, and Arpita, who achieved a notable rank in physiotherapy, was also recognized. Fr Vishal Monis extended a warm welcome, while George D’Almeida delivered the vote of thanks. Raina facilitated the event as the compere, and a variety entertainment programme concluded the festivities.
