Bantwal: Pedestrian injured in road accident on M'luru-B'luru NH succumbs

Bantwal, Apr 21: A pedestrian who was seriously injured as a bike hit him at Thumbay on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru NH succumbed to injuries in the hospital.

Nagaraja (55) is the deceased. A bike rider who was moving from Mangaluru to B C Road hit the deceased who was walking in front of Vaishali Wines near Thumbay.

 

The bke rider identified as Deepak Shetty also sustained injuries in the mishap. Nagaraj received grievous injuries on his head, face and legs and was admitted to a private hospital in Thumbay. It is believed that negligent riding by the bike rider Deepak had caused this accident.

Melkar traffic police have registered a case and are investigating further.
