Mangaluru: Mosque committee assures action against recurrence of namaz on public road

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, May 30: In response to the viral video showing people offering namaz on a public road near the Kankanady mosque, the mosque administration has taken steps to ensure such incidents do not happen again. Abdul Samad clarified the situation, stating, “We will not allow anyone to offer namaz on public roads in the future. We will hire security guards to prevent such occurrences.”

The police have filed a suo moto case against those who offered namaz on the road after the video gained attention on social media.

Addressing the issue, Abdul Samad explained, “Some outsiders, possibly visiting the hospital or migrant labourers from other states, offered namaz on the road. As we were inside the mosque offering namaz, we were not aware of this incident initially.

“On Friday evening, the matter was brought to our attention. On Saturday, the mosque's administration committee discussed the issue and took action. We clarified the situation with the Kadri police station before it was reported in the media. We have assured the police that it is our responsibility to prevent such incidents from recurring.

“There is no controversy now. We do not intend to create any controversy regarding namaz. It is our duty to prevent any public inconvenience due to namaz.”

Well done Samad sir , hatss of much appreciated towards your rigid stand towards the law and for educating them , much appreciated, when media picked up this issue and asked one social worker of urs to give her take on this . She is justifying this incident by giving the example of Kankanady Garodi temple and Bikkaranakate church such a shameless stupid lady she is , pumpwell temple or bikarnakatte church take permission of the authorities and carry out procession even a small child will know that , but she is making mockery of herself thinking we are fools and also this is the issue which was highlighted due to doing relegious activity in public places without permission . Now she will understand post ur stand , let she be well soon , thanks again..

For any of the Church processions, The Church authorities are taking prior permission for processions from the authorized authorities. Nobody should finger point towards the Christians or Christian Churches.

Very mature handling of the situation by mosque committe. Definitely the intent of the video takers was mischievous. But I am surprised, why the police have taken suo motto. On the similar lines, the police will have to take up so many suo moto cases, in other areas of mangalore. But even we don't bother, as it is the beauty of our country. We believe in swalpa adjust maadi.

Jamal, Mangalore/UAE, This is deliberate attempt to create problem and police should deal with this strictly. This pattern is seen all over India why would some one block the road and creating chaos. Why cannot they pray inside there is no special privileged for any community as such . Next time people should teach lesson to these people.

What do you mean by recurrence?! Don't you/they know the Public road traffic rules?! This action of performing Namaz was knowingly, purposely and deliberately carried out on the middle of the road which had hampered traffic movement on the road. The roads are for smooth running of traffic. Not for Namaaz. I am watching the mosque near St. Aloysius College, the namaaz by the Muslims is performed outside of the mosque. The mosque was built by encroaching public land and now further they/the Muslims are encroaching round about mosque's public place which should be stopped immediately. Corporation authorities must make survey of the land and confiscate encroached land

I am seeing the road was encroached near Shedigudda Market, Karangalpady Junction. One builder encroached and on the other side a temple encroached the road. Altogether the movement of traffic is very hard for the Public. The present corporation ruled by the BJP is favoring temple gudi and the Katte which are side by side on the road itself. The former D.C., Ponnuraj tried his best to trim the Katte, however, some local BJP fundamentals, supported by the BJP leaders was stalled the work and now the public are suffering with the congested traffic.

Every Western country they have migrated is facing the same problem. Every migrant destination is in chaos. In certain countries, they are demanding Sharia Law. Some parts of London resemble Bunder Mangalore. Just imagine me coming to your house pleading for a space to sleep and food . And after a few days I demand and compell you to follow my ways of life. How would you feel.?

@Sense what is in their sense who block the road for days/weeks to celebrate for certain occasions. What were the bhakts doing at the railway station waiting for train to travel to pray at the temple where the mosque once stood. At least the Kankanady mosque committee took a positive approach and did not compare with what i have mentioned above. Praying to GOD facing Qibla is not to provoke or do any inconvenience to the general public. May the God give maturity to those who are misguided.
