Kadaba: Man falls to death from compound wall

Kadaba, Jun 1: A tragic incident occurred in Balattane, Kuntoor village, Kadaba taluk, where a man accidentally fell to his death while cutting grass on a compound wall.

The deceased is Vishwanatha Gowda (54), an agriculturist and resident of Balattane.

On Thursday evening, Vishwanatha was cutting grass near the compound wall of his land when he suddenly slipped and fell. Despite being severely injured, he was rushed to a private hospital in Puttur and later transferred to Mangaluru for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Friday afternoon.

Vishwanatha was a progressive farmer actively involved in social and religious activities. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

    The rains have already started. Precaution is better than cure.The old people Should always be careful white going the house.The surface is always slippery.     Very unfortunate incident... Working at height is always risky... No one must be complacent as any slip can be fatal.... This habit of overconfidence is observed in most middle aged and seniors... Often they do it within homes when alone... By the time help arrives it is often too late... RIP to the departed soul....
