Puttur: Daylight murder of homemaker - Accused still at large after 10 years

Puttur, Jun 6: Police have been unable to solve the murder case of a homemaker killed in broad daylight 10 years ago.

Pushpalatha, the wife of Gurumurthy, the then head teacher of Hirebandadi Government High School, was found dead with her throat slit in the rented house where they resided in Uppinangady on June 5, 2014.

Despite a manhunt, police have been unable to apprehend the killer. Women's organizations have protested against the police's failure to capture the culprit.

However, the case remains a mystery.

    Its sad that murder case is not yet cleared.More it looks like someone came and asked water and she went inside to give and she was killed?Must be someone who knew their daily routine ?When noone around killed her?But one or other day one has to drink water who ate salt.Still its a mystery why head master didnt open the door on that particular day when children came home for lunch?Sending them with some money .Dont let him out of sight.Asking for water was only a trick to lock her inside the house?May her soul rest in peace.Police could take finger prints from outside lock and varify on that day first as soon as master came home ,so he delayed it.?
