M'luru: BJP workers calling specific community 'Pakistanis' provoked Boliyar clash - Police chief

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Jun 11: A provocative statement referring to Pakistan sparked tensions during a BJP celebration near an auto stand, located a few kilometers before the mosque at Boliyar, said city police commissioner Anupam Agarwal.

The BJP was celebrating Prime Minister Modi's swearing-in on Sunday. During the procession, near the auto-rickshaw stand and a few kilometers before the mosque, some participants raised provocative slogans, saying, "You people belong to Pakistan and the arrival of Modi has scared you." This statement triggered the incident.

Due to the provocative slogans near the auto-rickshaw stand, people gathered near the mosque. After the procession dispersed, some individuals on two-wheelers returned to the masjid and celebrated in front of it. Later, they were chased and stabbed.

The president of the mosque has filed a case against certain youths who shouted provocative slogans in front of the mosque and abused people standing outside. Arrests have been made under sections 143, 147, 148, 153A, 504, 506, and 149 of the IPC.

Three teams have been formed to investigate the case. Six persons have been arrested in connection with the Boliyar stabbing case. Initially, five arrests were made, and a recent arrest of Abboobakar brings the total to six.

Mohammad Shakir (28), Abdul Razak (40), Aboobakar Siddique (35), Sawad (18), and Monu alias Hafeez (24) are the arrested accused and Abboobakar Sarvan, the individual who allegedly carried out the stabbing and is a known rowdy sheeter, is still absconding.

The two persons who were attacked are reported to be out of danger.

Irrespective of provocation its wrong to take up violence...chasing and stabbing and then escaping shows a criminal mindset...people who indulged in this violence must be punished severely...putting the blame on victims is wrong...they didnt do vioence..its the other party who has done it....if you are going to react with violence there is no end to this...an eye for an eye makes all blind...this is india not middle east..

For my Muslim brothers, From example of Ayodhya,UP and even in Karnataka , it's a proof Most of Hindus love peace and that's a responsiblity on us to reciprocate , let's not brush aside that we're perfect , instead of isolating we should play active part in building the country. It's humbling to see comments that Many Hindus are standing up for our rights, peaceful DK,India..Thank you so much all. For my Muslim brothers , please note AndhBhakts Vs Hindus. Eventually AndhBhakts will realize the scam of a FEKU and DAAKU...Satyamev Jayate 👏👏👏

Thanks to the BJP IT cell, Muslims are frequently portrayed negatively on social media. This has led to significant polarization against minorities, particularly Muslims. In times of conflict, it's crucial for religious leaders from both sides to sit down, engage in open dialogue, and resolve issues amicably. Politicians should not be allowed to exploit these situations. Hopefully, Tulunadu will once again enjoy its historic communal harmony

What a shame to say they belong to billava community. Is this what Sree Narayana Guru taught?? If they do not follow the teachings of the great Guru, are they even eligible to call themselves as billava??

Purposely trying to intimidate members of another community by using such sensitive words is a very grave offence and should be dealt with an iron hand; resultant skirmish is because of this intimidation!!

This type of hatred between the communities will not lead us anywhere. Unfortunately political parties have used the divisive politics very effectively so far. If we have to build a strong nation, we need to be united!

If you call Pakistani when in reality they r not, then what do u expect athithi devo bhava? Our race is completely different than theirs our roots are Dravidians whereas they are Aryans which means sindhis /memonis close to Gujrati dna and Lahoris are close to Punjabi dna. Our food to our clothes is different there is no match at all. Just because we have one same God we can't be called them,i f that's the case then call us ARABS, they too have same god as us. look at ur double standard. Shame on those who call Pakistanis, hoist Pak flag and disrupt harmony in society. I curse that may your life be filled with disruptions you quench for happiness but may you never get it. This is month of sacredness (Dhul hijjah) . And these days are very emotional to us .Prayers are answered these days. That's why muslims run to saudi for piligrimage.

Nobody knows this type of disturbance will go to what extent. When procession is coming means, Police department should have put enough Police force. First of all the permission must take for procession., fix the time, numbers of participants, don't allow to stop in front of Temple, mosques, Churches. All rules and conditions must be to everyone.

If theses so called fake patriots have guts they should chant slogans ‘Bharath Matha Ki Jai’ where Chinese have occupied our land and built infrastructures inside our territory. Surprisingly Modi is not saying anything about it and not showing any signs of patriotism oozing out from him. But people have judged him right and punished him for all his psuedo narratives, coward, traitor and anti constitutional rule. There is no need for any sort of chant in front of any holy places of any religion which are neutral and peaceful places.
