Puttur: St Philomena College organises science modelling programme

Puttur, Jun 13: The Centre for PG studies and research at St Philomena College, in collaboration with the department of social work, organized a successful science modelling programme on Tuesday at Papemajalu High School. The event aimed to engage high school students in practical science education.

In his address, headmaster Monappa Poojary emphasized the importance of understanding scientific principles and incorporating them into daily life. Shreemani, coordinator of the department of social work, highlighted the significance of such educational initiatives.

The event featured a variety of engaging science models that captivated the attention of the students. Among the notable exhibits were, ECG machine, Laser Beam demonstration and noise recognizer.

These models provided students with an opportunity to observe and analyse scientific concepts firsthand. Additionally, an educational quiz on the solar system was conducted, further enriching the knowledge of the students.

The programme also included live chemical experiments, demonstrating various chemical reactions. These experiments were particularly beneficial, providing students with practical insights into the world of chemistry.

Ananya Krishna welcomed. School students rendered prayer. Deekshith extended a vote of thanks. Ajith compered the programme.
